Conclusion 

    Abolishing the Four Olds in particular played a major role in the Cultural Revolution. With the loss of a routine way of life and any authority figure willing to take responsibility, the floor was open for Mao to switch he country to communism and take power. Many Chinese people reacted to the reform positively, and helped destroy the Four Olds with enthusiasm. By destroying everything within these four categories he set China up for failure in the future. The greatest aspects of Chinese culture; to learn enthusiastically, to respect your elders, and even China's growing economy suffered damages. Even today, China is still attempting to replace some of the culture that was lost.
